Have we hit a “1984” time when everything is being reduced to the lowest common denominator – from the supermarkets, to bookshops, and dare I say the “professional” university courses. Does this explain the ‘base spiritual level’ issue – have people being reduced to living in an overcrowded cheap stimuli environment and the spiritual baseline has been forced exactly there – to the minimalist position?
